Reporting to the VP Finance Industrial Group and the VP, Corporate Controller, the Director Accounting and Controls (m/f/d) will work with stakeholders in the Industrial Group operating businesses and at various levels throughout the Company regarding US GAAP technical accounting, monthly/quarterly close process, CIRCOR accounting policy, controls compliance and key accounting matters. You will manage the coordination of all elements needed to complete assigned tasks, including using influential leadership and to obtain information needed from essential contributors to meet project and filing deadlines. You will operate with independence and will complete the goals of broad assignments and oversight.


Aufgaben
  • Support CIRCOR Industrial Group during monthly close process, including streamlining and standardizing reporting, resolution of accounting issues, ensuring full compliance with CIRCOR global accounting policy.
  • Provide consultation on technical accounting matters to the operating divisions in close coordination with US Corporate Finance, ensuring that all technical issues are addressed, resolved and documented in line with the US GAAP. Significant focus on revenue recognition, inventory, ASC 805 Business Combinations, lease accounting.
  • Support with the maintenance, development, monitoring and improvement of the internal controls, systems and policies of Industrial Group. Coordinates such activities very closely with the VP, Corporate Controller and Internal Audit Group to drive standardization proactively
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with business across various jurisdictions included in the Industrial Group.
  • Support CIRCOR US Corporate Finance team in preparation and review of monthly/quarterly and annual reporting. Interact this regards closely with the VP, Corporate Controller to drive continuous improvement
  • Review and collaborate with FP&A on any ongoing accounting matters.
  • Gives professional advise regards appropriate application of resources, including technology and digital tools, used in the financial reporting process to provide a thoughtful and controlled reporting process, including support of negotiations with vendors.
  • Leads monthly balance sheet reviews and initialize standardization of reporting across the Industrial Group
  • Supports all Industrial businesses to remediate detected accounting related process deficiencies and to execute identified desirable process improvements
  • Leads the Industrial FinSSC team functionally
  • Supports global roll-out of the Industrial Group Finance Shared Service organization and coordinates process standardization with the FinSSC team America
  • Acts as professional advisor to all Finance Directors of Industrial Group in regards all US-GAAP reporting related topics
  • Supports the VP Finance Industrial and the VP, Corporate Controller in regards defined process improvement projects
  • Interacts closely with Internal Audit Group and coordinates remediation of all detected accounting related defienciencies

Profil
  • 10+ years of relevant accounting/ financial reporting experience, including extensive knowledge of GAAP in global multi-tiered consolidations
  • Strong US GAAP Technical Accounting background and understanding of SEC reporting requirements
  • Experience with ASC 606 Revenue recognition standard (experience with percentage of completion method is a plus) and ASC 805 Business Combinations
  • Experience with internal controls
  • Finance process improvement, accounting/finance transformation experience is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance; Active CPA License
